Refund Policy

Once a payment is successfully processed, verified, and recorded by LokKatha, it is final. This applies to:
Dissatisfaction with content, a change of mind, forgetting to cancel before a renewal, or infrequent use of membership features are not grounds for a refund.
LokKatha will consider a refund only under the following circumstances. All other situations are governed by the general no-refund rule above.
A. Technical error or fault on our side
If a payment succeeds but the corresponding subscription or membership is not activated within a reasonable time due to a confirmed technical failure on LokKatha's infrastructure, you may request a refund or an activation credit. You must contact us within 7 days of the payment date.
B. Duplicate or double payment
If you are charged more than once for the same billing period due to a payment processing error (not a user-initiated second purchase), the duplicate charge will be refunded after we confirm the double payment with Razorpay. You must contact us within 14 days of the duplicate charge with your payment IDs.
C. LokKatha cancels or discontinues your subscription plan
If LokKatha terminates a subscription plan that you have actively paid for, or suspends your account without cause, a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the current billing period will be issued. This does not apply if your account is suspended due to a violation of the Terms of Use.
D. Failed payment deductions (subscriptions & donations)
If a payment fails, is cancelled, or cannot be verified, but money was still deducted from your payment method, that amount is eligible for a refund. No successful transaction is recorded in these cases. Eligible refunds are normally processed within 3–5 business days after the failed status is confirmed by Razorpay, your bank, or payment provider. Final credit timing depends on your payment method.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain access to membership features until the end of the current paid billing period. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days in that period unless exception C above applies.
To request a refund under an applicable exception, contact us with the following details:
Do not include card numbers, UPI PINs, OTPs, CVV, passwords, or bank credentials in your message. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to redirect refunds to a different card, account, or payment instrument.
This policy may be updated at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of LokKatha after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
